White Mountain Montessori School requires parents to volunteer eighteen hours per child per school year (with a max requirement of 40 hours with 3 or more children enrolled). Parents who do not fill volunteer requirements will be required to pay a $200 volunteer fee at the end of the year. We understand that for many of you it is difficult to find extra time, but your help is very important to our school. Every parent is unique and can offer the children of our school a new way to grow and learn. What better way to become part of your child’s education, get to know his peers and show him you care.
No amount of your time is too little. Just one half hour here and there can really mean a lot. Just one full day is over half of your volunteer hours for the entire year. There are many different ways in which you can volunteer, please ask a teacher or school administrator for details. We are looking forward to a great year. We hope you can be a part of it with us.

Arizona law allows Arizona taxpayers to contribute up to $500 for single or head of household and $1000 for married taxpayers to a private school for support of extracurricular activities and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit. Extracurricular activities include but are not limited to field trips, fine arts, visual arts, athletics and scientific laboratory equipment and materials.
To qualify, fill out the DONATION FORM and return it to White Mountain Montessori with your donation. You will receive a receipt from White Mountain Montessori. Keep this receipt with your other tax documents. When it’s time to file your taxes, you or your tax preparer will report your credit on Arizona Form 323. A tax credit is a full refund of your money provided you have a tax liability equaling or exceeding your donation. So, if your taxes due were $1500 and you made a $1000 donation to White Mountain Montessori, you would only owe $500. If you had a refund coming of $1000 and you made a $1000 donation to White Mountain Montessori, your refund will be $2000. IT COSTS YOU NOTHING. The amount claimed as a tax credit on your Arizona individual tax return cannot also be claimed as a deduction on your Arizona individual tax return. However, you can also itemize your contribution on your Federal income tax return. It's definitely a win-win situation!
The deadline to make a donation is December 31 of each year, but can be made any time during the year or in increments throughout the year. Please, make your donation today.
