Miss Jan

My experience with White Mountain Montessori began in 1999, teaching the 3-6 year old classroom. I received my training in Boulder, Colorado. My interests include spending time with my grandchildren, traveling, reading and scrapbooking.

Miss Joey

My history with White Mountain Montessori began in 2000 as a parent of a child in the school. That progressed into substitute teaching. I earned my North American Montessori Certificate in 2004. I love to spend my free time with my family participating in outdoor activities and sports. I also enjoy photography and scrapbooking.

Miss Sarah

I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach at White Mountain Montessori School where I have been involved as a parent since 2003.  My three children have all attended White Mountain Montessori from the age of three through the fourth grade.  My teaching experience with the school includes two years as an Odyssey of the Mind coach, as well as community service coordinator for the 6-9 class since 2009.  I am a graduate of Smith College and Yale Law School, and am currently completing my Montessori Teaching Certification through North American Montessori Center.  I enjoy nature and spending time with my children.  I also love to read, garden, travel, and fly my airplane!

Mr "N" - Steve

I am delighted to be a member of the White Mountain Montessori School. I am the proud father of 4 Montessori students, one in the elementary class, one in kindergarten, and two in the preschool program. I graduated from Prescott College with a degree in Adventure Education with an emphasis on Elementary Experiential Education. I was trained in Montessori Middle School at the Houston Montessori Center and began my teaching career at the Montessori School of Flagstaff as a 3-6 teacher and then a 6-9 teacher. I also taught at Old Mission Montessori School in San Diego as a Middle School teacher from 1999-2004. Our family moved to Lakeside, AZ. in 2004 and I worked as a residential appraiser for a local appraisal firm. My heart and soul are excited to be back in the classroom and to share my love of learning with our students at White Mountain Montessori.

Mr Nolan

I am proud to be a member of the White Mountain Montessori School community. After graduating from NAU in Flagstaff with a degree in forestry, I studied in Boulder, CO and received my teaching certification from the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies. For the past 12 years I have taught in a Montessori classroom and enjoyed each year. I am always amazed at the level of respect and the strong work ethic that is evident in the mindset of Montessori students. Recently, I completed my masters in education program from Grand Canyon University. I enjoy camping, rafting, skiing and spending time with my wife and our two sons. We are excited to be raising them in such a wonderful community and we'd like to thank everyone for the support you have all shown our family.

Miss Kelly - Music

I am grateful for the opportunity to teach music at White Mountain Montessori School.  Teaching elementary music has been my joyous career for over nine years.  I earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance, Viterbo College, La Crosse, Wisconsin, and a Master of Arts in Music Education, University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota. I incorporate the elementary music teaching ideas of Orff and Kodály into my lessons.  When not teaching music, I enjoy singing with the White Mountain Chorale, reading, gardening, sewing, and spending time with my husband and cat.

Miss Ana - Art

My experience with Montessori began with my two daughters who both attended White Mountain Montessori. I was a board member and volunteer taught art which led me to start my business Artsparks.  Artsparks was a paint your own pottery studio that  brought art programs into the public schools and also provided summer art camps. I love bringing new experiences to children through art and am so happy to be able to do this at White Mountain Montessori and Saint Anthony’s Catholic school. I also enjoy music, travel, snowboarding, and of course, my family!

Miss Beth - After Care and so much more!
